Plenty of young men, especially the sons of athletes, have fallen beneath their father's shadow at one point in their life. McGillicutty could be a great example. McGillicutty could struggle to face the gap between him and his father who was deemed as one of the greats who had competed.

It could be used to have McGillicutty cheat to win his matches because of the pressure he feels is on him. He could even have former older wrestlers come up to him and mention how great his father was and how they'll be watching him closely. Having McGillicutty struggle with these demons and the burden of his name would give the fans a character to support as empathize with whether he is heel or face.
