Graceful Charity discards the cards at the same time and MJE can never gain more than 2 counters per time that Dinosaur monsters are sent to the Graveyard. Painful Choice is a good example of this. You could be sending four Dinosaur monsters to the Graveyard.

MJE doesn't gain 8 counters because of this, it only gains 2. Thus it's the same game mechanic. This situation would count cards, rather than the event that caused them to be sent. It is only looking for Dinosaur Monsters, and doesnt case if they are sent simultaneously or separately.

MJE says "each time" meaning its counting the times that dinosaurs are sent to the graveyard, its not counting the cards, just the instances that a dino went to the grave.
